Just thought I'd share one of my new favorite songs with you. It is called Never Alone, by Jim Brickman and Lady Antebellum.

Enjoy!

I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by Your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When Your face is before me
I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel
Will I dance for your Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

I can only imagine when that day comes
And I find myself standing in the Son
I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship You
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel
Will I dance for your Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship You

On Sunday, October 4, 2009, Denean passed into glory, totally whole and healed. A couple of the great loves in her life were Jesus Christ and music (besides family and friends). To conclude the service today, which I like to think of as a celebration service since she is now home with Jesus, we all stood up to sing the above song. I sure wish I could have sung more of it, but it was a struggle.

I may seem tough on the outside...but boy, am I a feeler. And music is one of the areas that really gets my emotions going. So through some tears, we gave God the glory for Denean and how she touched all of our lives, and how she no longer has to imagine what it will be like to go Home.

The best thing of all, many of us didn't have to say good bye, but see you again....in heaven, since we believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, and He suffered and died on the cross for our sins. No one is worthy of what Jesus did for us, but it is by His grace and love and our accepting Him as our Lord and Savior that we will someday forever worship Him, right along with Denean.

Little Girl

When you have a chance, go check out this video of Jenn Petersen. Growing up, we were country neighbors (which means they lived about 5 miles from us). God blessed this family with some great musical talent. Jenn's mom (Necia) gave me and all my siblings piano lessons from first grade through about 8th grade (at least that's how long I took them). Dianne (the older sister) is great with music as well. About 3 years ago I went to Boston for a work training, and was able to meet up with Dianne and see her sing at their church service. Dianne uses music daily in music therapy.

I'm thankful I got to experience and be influenced by their love for music first hand.
