Howdy Kitchen: Easter Egg Cookies

One thing that mom always does at any big holiday, is make sugar cookies....and then decorate them.  This year, I got to help out in the decorating of a batch of cookies. 

Here are some of the cookies I decorated.  I got a little bit creative on some of them.  Mom put all the base frosting color on and helped decorate a few.  But after awhile, she just left them to me and my crazy ideas.  :)

After my school visit in Marshalltown today, I met Mom at McDonalds, and she gave me a containter of these!!!
Delicious! These things are the best! Growing up, I remember helping with decorating these cookies, eating any of the broken ones (I think we broke many on purpose), and taking them to school to share in our classrooms and with friends.

I almost missed getting some this year. But thanks to mom driving to meet me in Mtown, I still got my pumpkin sugar cookies before Halloween.
