{FAN}tastic!

Did you all have an enjoyable weekend?

My weekend started out with kid wrangling a couple of cute red heads overnight on Friday to Saturday noonish. 

Saturday afternoon, my parents took a little road trip and visited me!  It's always great to have them visit.  Usually I always go to the farm to visit, but the purpose of the trip had to be completed at my place.

What was the purpose of the trip?

Well, for dad to install a ceiling fan in my bedroom!

 

After having it for only 1 night so far....I have no idea why I didn't do this sooner!

Because I live in an apartment, dad had to work with what was available.  The box that held all the wiring for the previous light wasn't exactly how dad liked it.  So, to make it more stable, dad off-set the fan, so it was screwed in to a beam just a few inches away.  But, because there would have been a visible hole in the ceiling, we made a quick trip to Lowe's to pick up a ceiling medallion. 

 

I will admit, I wasn't a huge fan of the leaf design, but it was better than some others.  The plain one that I did like was over $25!  This one, I think was $14.  And, since I am usually sleeping when I'm in my room, the leaf patter will work just fine.

Last but not least.....this fan had some fantastic pulls that came with it.  I didn't realize that when I picked up the fan, so now I need to return the other pulls I did get....and make some money!

Here are the pulls.  Can you tell which one is for the light and the fan?

 

Love it!  Of all the fans I have seen, I have never seen this.  I'm a 'fan' of these sweet pulls!  {Yes, pun intended!}  :)

This afternoon {Sunday} I attempted a new cupcake recipe.
