Sweet Corn Time!

What is one of the few things that I look forward to every summer...while putting up with the heat and humidity of Iowa?

SWEET CORN!!

This week, the Clark's hooked me up with some corn from their garden, after watching the boys. I couldn't wait to eat it.

Yes, I know I might be weird when I put pepper on my corn. But when it's not on the cob, I absolutely love pepper on my corn. So why not eat it on the cob with pepper? It was delicious!

How do you eat your corn on the cob? Do you have to put little knobs on the cob to hold it? Do you attack it from the middle or wherever your mouth falls?

Growing up, I use to eat the corn by putting knobs on the cob. But lately, that just takes too much time. I just use my fingers, buttery and all, and begin eating. I eat it from left to right, going around the cob. Sort of like a typewriter.

In the end, this is what I see, along with butter all over my hands and face. But oh, is it worth the mess.

YUM!

This weekend I'm heading back to the farm, and will hopefully enjoy some more corn, along with some green beans freshly canned from the garden.
