Meet Drake

He's a good dog.

I met this little pup this past Sunday when I ran back to the farm for the afternoon/evening. My brother picked him up a little earlier in the week. And isn't he a cutie??

I took this picture at the end of the night, after grilling out, kids running around playing with him, and sitting around a bonfire. He was so tired. But he was so sweet. After eating, he sat on my lap, and was out in about 1 minute. I think this dog can go to sleep at the drop of a hat!

I can't wait to see what he will be like when he gets older. His paws are just huge! I believe that is why Adam picked him. In our family, we don't do small dogs. We need the big dogs that can handle the farm (and the highway). Since God created dogs to be outside creatures, and humans decided to make them indoor creatures, it's hard to get a pet from the local animal shelter. So I'm glad that Adam picked up Drake when he saw him in an ad. And he was free! No need to pay hundreds of dollars for a little yipper/ankle bitter that MUST stay indoors.

What will Jacquelyn, Jacob, and Alex think about Drake?

I'm a big dog person too! Little Cedar will soon enough be big! He also had big paws when we picked him out. He's such a joy!

I know what you mean about finding a good farm dog among the indoor pouches at the pound...! Drake is so cute...but looks like he'll grow to be a big one! I was just over at your other site and loved your etched glass jars!
