This weekend my brother requested that I head to the farm as soon as I can
to get some harvest pictures...with the 'new' combine!
He didn't have to ask me twice! I'm always looking for an excuse to head to the farm.
{If you didn't know, harvest {fall} is my favorite season!}
At first, it was looking like it might not happen, due to weather.
However, I am still hoping it will happen!
It could potentially rain today and Wednesday, but not Tuesday.
We need the rain...but I want to run the combine for a bit! :)
So after work, I'll be making a quick trek to the farm for some harvest fun!

I have been working at Center Grove Orchard as a tractor driver for the hay rides.
So far, I have about 40 hours driving time in the tractors {with more to come!}
And I love it!
But, there is just something about seeing the accomplishment of
harvesting a field of corn or beans.

You see the progress as you go, and you don't want to stop until the field is done!
Thanks to seeing some pictures over at Traci Thorson Photography,
I will definitely be having more fun with the pictures, and trying to get some different angles.
Since I'm not sure which field the guys will be in {when I take over!}, so there could be direct sunlight shining on the combine until the sun goes down, which is what happened last year.
Either way, I can't wait! :)

yeah. i am so glad you get to get into the harvesting action. have fun taking the photos. i can't wait to see them.

Looks like fun! I never grew up with a combine... my dad got rid of his before I came around (health reasons), so I didn't get to ride in my first one until around 2003ish... but it was awesome! My ex's family all farmed so I got to ride around with them :)
